GUNA-COUGH

Guna-Cough is a basic medicine for the treatment of cough. The formula has decongestant, anti-inflammatory, antispastic and antiseptic activity on the lower, middle and upper respiratory tract; and promotes the catarrh liquefication and expectoration. This GUNA formulation is indicated for adults and children, ideal for the latter, due to the absence of alcohol, and for diabetic patients, due to the absence of glucose and saccharin.  Owing to select single components of the Materia Medica, Guna-Cough is active both on dry (Drosera, Sticta pulmonaria, Thymus) and productive coughs (Coccus cacti); it has a marked sedative and emollient activity (Plantago major, Althaea officinalis); it is homeopharmacologically active on the spasmodic component (Drosera, Cuprum aceticum, Thymus); and it assists in the liquefication of catarrhal secretions (Thyme, Althaea officinalis) inducing its expectoration (Cetraria islandica, Sticta pulmonaria).
